Settling up multiple group debts doesn't actually settle them up
I tried to settle up a bunch of debts in different groups to the same person and it just put the payment into one group which didn't settle anything except my final balance (but all of the individual groups were then out of sync)

I think this is just ultra confusing - I see that yes, the numbers do work out but it should settle in each group and help me make a consolidated payment (or receive one). In my groups, with the same person, it just dumps all of the payments into one group and so it looks like I owe a ton in one group but evens it out elsewhere. This way of settling make it very hard to then audit later

Hey Tim, how the full settle up works, is it will put a payment in each group that has a balance (pos or neg with that person) and then do an overall payment 1:1. In the UI, it should indicate in the activity log which expenses were auto created (usually the ones in the groups). The overall settle up payment is usually 1:1 bound (no group), so I'm curious how you got here.
The algorithm is to:
Detect full balances for you and this person across all groups
Suggest that total $ amount in payment screen
If that is submitted, reverse all debts in all groups for that one person and you
Add a payment between you and that person 1:1
This should get you to a point in the ledger, that you are all settled up with them. If you have more specific details, I'd be happy to look!

Yes, I noticed as well. I would really appreciate a person-related overll settle up. In addition an undo of such a person-related settle up would be cool as well. An undo that clears remaining settle ups inside groups from this person-related settle up (e.g. you deleted one or more settle ups within a group). But I am not sure whether this undo can be handled that easily.
