Exclude Future Expenses from Simplified Debts

I want to track expenses in the future that I know are coming up, like for instance vendors for a wedding, but I don't want to get paid back for something I haven't already paid for. It would be helpful to be able to view a settlement summary up to and including the current date but excluding future expenses. Alternately, the ability to view a summary at any arbitrary date could also be helpful, especially once recurring payments are implemented. I.E. "Who owed what as of Dec 31"
