Add friend with name only for cash payments

I would like to be able to add a friend with only a name instead of an email and/or username from one of the supported money transfer services (Venmo, etc). This is so I can track friends who pay only in cash, without requiring their email address.

    The UI for adding a friend without an email is a bit quirky, as if any of your existing friends match and are showing in the dropdown, more often than not, it will add the top friend from there instead of creating a new one with just the name. You need to carefully Escape and make sure no dropdown is showing for this to work. I've relayed to Bradley previously how touchy this UI is, but it's still in this state today.

    Hmm, when I click Add Friends, this is the dialog box I see. I can select which payment service to use, add their email, but I don’t see where to add just a name.

    Hey Samuel Eklund & Cristy, you can create a friend (in both a group context or add friend context) without a payment service/username. You can simply type in their name.

    Only one of the fields is required. Having a friend with only a name is less useful though, but up to you!

    A work around I found for this is to create a group, and then add the friend (if its part of a group you just need a name). You can then delete the group if you want. Your friend will still be in your friends list.
